Waldo - Your AI Play Mate !

Is a 3D emotional companion and smart life assistant that makes organization fun. Users talk to Waldo, who responds with voice (ElevenLabs), updates his mood and stats, and remembers past moments through Qdrant. Gemini powers his reasoning, action selection, and long-term personality. Waldo can also take actions, play games, create tasks, complete habits, trigger flows via ElevenLabs agent tools. Built with Lovable, the MVP shows a working loop: chat → intent → memory → voice → 3D animation.

The idea is also that:
When you eat : Waldo eats
When you exercise : Waldo Exercices
When you learn : Waldo Learns

And waldo can interact with all your apps and tools @ home ou @ the office

This is a fresh project that I started @ 1PM

IMPORTANT : I used Waldo as a reference to the 3D character from Netflix : Black Mirror, of course public version will be another type of characters

Gemini powers Waldo’s reasoning, personality, and action selection, while ElevenLabs agent tools let Waldo autonomously create tasks, complete habits, start games, or trigger flows inside the app. When you eat, Waldo eats. When you exercise, Waldo exercises. When you learn, Waldo learns. Your real-world actions shape Waldo’s emotions, growth, and animations—turning your life into his life, and his encouragement back into your motivation. Built with Lovable, the MVP demonstrates a complete functional loop: chat → intent → memory → stats → voice → 3D expression, creating a playful, compelling, and scalable daily experience.

Execution & Functionality

The MVP includes a working backend for conversation, stat updates, and action handling; a 3D frontend rendering Waldo; and full integration with speech, memory, and AI reasoning. Waldo reacts emotionally, animates based on mood, and performs actual app actions.

AI & Agents Usage

Gemini: primary brain for dialog, intent detection, long-term personality, and embeddings.

ElevenLabs: real-time voice + agent capable of triggering backend actions (tasks, games, habits).

Qdrant: long-term personalized memory for continuity.
Waldo behaves as a multi-agent system, coordinating reasoning, voice, and memory.

Scalability (One-Person Model)

Modular architecture, serverless hosting, and automated memory/action loops enable a single developer to maintain and grow the product. Waldo’s behaviors are mostly self-driven.

Problem Clarity & Market Impact

People lack emotional engagement with productivity and wellbeing tools. Waldo reframes self-improvement as a playful daily relationship, tapping into the rapidly growing market of AI companions and personal agents.

Demo & Narrative

The demo shows Waldo greeting the user, remembering past chats, reacting with mood changes, performing actions (creating tasks via voice agent), and animating in 3D based on the user’s real-life behavior.

Lovable → Generated full application structure.

Gemini (Vertex AI/Gemini) → LLM, reasoning, embeddings.

ElevenLabs → Voice + agent action tools.

Qdrant → Long-term memory store.

Three.js/React Three Fiber → 3D Waldo model rendering.

Google Cloud Run → Hosting/orchestration.

Autonomous Agent Logic & Failure Modes

Waldo can autonomously plan actions (create tasks, complete habits, launch animations). Failures like LLM misclassification, Qdrant timeout, or TTS errors have graceful fallbacks (default action, no memory, text-only reply).

Next Steps

Add richer emotional animations, more games, camera-based learning modes, user-generated Waldo skins, deeper habit syncing, and long-term quests tied to real-life improvement.
