GatherGo: GatherGo Camping and Travel Planning WebApp

Project Concept

Family or friends camping and other travel planning

This project is about bringing family and friends together with intention. It includes sketching a “family/friends network map,” AI-powered matching travel plans to shared interests (hiking, BBQ, kayaking, fishing, swimming, beach), and aligning activities (frequency, timing, location) with the group. It also involves preparing thoughtful plans with the right packing lists. Beyond logistics (taking the pain away), it enhances the experience by recommending activities based on weather and top local attractions, capturing memories, sharing photos in real time (automated), and mapping the network to identify where relationships can grow stronger.
Our customers are millions of families seeking easier planning, better experiences, and lasting memories to build relationships. Future monetization can come through ads and partnerships with vendors (campgrounds, gear providers, booking services) to offer convenient booking and relevant recommendations, or through a premium version with advanced features.

I am an AI Product Manager with a background in software engineering and entrepreneurship. I pursued Masters in Information Science from the University of Michigan and have a bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering. I had my own startup where I handled user research, and building the product. I moved on from the startup to an IoT company to work as a software engineer. My focus has been on AI/ML since the last 5 years where I have ideated and built AI products for United Nations service ReliefWeb. Lately, I managed and contributed to online safety research group and now contribute to Microsoft AI Red Team open source project, PyRIT. I am good at translating business needs to technical requirements.
